GAME 1 - 08.30.06
Weekly joy is back. The season finally started and the young teams representing TBS have clearly stated on the field that they are out there just for the fun of being out there. Goals will come. Eventually. Some day. Victories will follow, hopefully some time between next year and the following. But that’s not stopping the "Boomerang boys" and the "Golden Scissors… uh… "men" (?) to believe that, in soccer, anything is possible. Even a good “throw in”.

The 9:30 game showed a shy Boomerang team during the first half. But they soon proved that they can be serious when they mean it. If the game would have ended five minutes before it did, Boomerang would have started the season with 3 important points. Unfortunately they went home empty-handed. Nevertheless, the players left the field knowing that it won't take much time before they start winning.

10:30 promised an interesting game with an interesting roster on the Golden Scissors’ side. Yes, interesting, before they started playing. Some say they suffer the Brazil Syndrome: nice names, pour games. They’ll need to change their tactics if they want to start scoring some goals. Or maybe their attitude. Or maybe it’s their shoes. Either way, one thing is clear, Golden Scissors’ strategy is to have fun. And that’s not a bad one, as long as they start working on their aiming problems.
